O. V. Wright, That’s how strong my love is

“That’s how strong my love is” was O. V. Wright’s first solo recording after leaving a gospel vocal group, and was recorded in 1964 for Goldwax Records. It turned out that O V Wright’s contract with Duke Records, for whom he recorded gospel, covered his solo recordings, so his contract with Goldwax was cancelled and he returned to Duke Records, with whom he had a string of soul releases which many regard as among soul music’s finest. He later moved to Hi Records where he continued his run of great recordings up to his untimely death in 1980 aged 48.
