Iverson Minter (Louisiana Red) was born on March 23, 1932  in America and recorded for Chess and other labels from the late 1940s. His mother died shortly after his birth and his father was killed in a Ku Klux Klan lynching. A well known session musician, since the early 1980s he was based in Germany. “I done woke up” was recorded in 1964. He died on 25 February 2012.
