Chicago based blues musician Samuel “Magic Sam” Gene Maghett was born on February 14, 1937 and died on December 1, 1969 of a heart attack. Among others, he is associated with the record producer Willie Dixon, who highly regarded his unusual playing style. “Every night about this time” was issued on UK Sue LP ILP 921 “We sing the blues” by Various Artists.
